Edmonton’s Culinary Gold Medal Awarded to Top High School Chefs

After slaving away at the stove and battling hard – 54 aspiring high school chefs will find out who will make the culinary podium of the High School Culinary Challenge.
Eighteen teams from high schools in communities including Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park and Vegreville; each competed for gold by preparing a three-course meal. The students were judged on preparation, timing, sanitation, presentation and of course taste!
Join competitors, friends, family, and event organizers in a celebration of their culinary achievement at the HSCC Awards Dinner.
Tickets for the dinner are available to the public online at www.highschoolculinarychallenge.ca, by email at admin@edmontonchefs.ca or by calling 780-475-2433. Tickets are $35 or $245 for a table of 8, which includes the three-course dinner the students were asked to make. Money raised at the High School Culinary Challenge Awards Dinner will go towards the scholarship fund.
All participants of the High School Culinary Challenge are eligible to apply for up to three full scholarships to attend NAIT’s culinary apprenticeship program. In addition, scholarship
Recipients, through the High School Culinary Challenge, receive the opportunity to work on the job with some of the city’s top chefs.
